Cornfield 500 History and Future

The Cornfield 500 started as a small race on an old cornfield with a few friends and the idea of having some fun in some old beater cars on Labor Day Weekend in 2000. With a few changes to comply with insurance, zoning, taxes, and many continued improvements, the Cornfield 500, is a great place to hang out on Labor Day Weekend, for the whole family. We try to make your visit to the Cornfield 500, on Historic Route 6, in Columbus PA, a great get-a-way. We still have primitive camping, but we are working on funding to help us develop a Baker Hill Campground in the near future, to make your stay a little more comfortable. There are also some nice Bed & Breakfast, and Guest Houses listed on our website, but you can always bring a camper or a tent and have a great time right here on the farm. We do have portable toilets, spring water available, vendors of food/beverage/items all weekend, and a huge bon fire and Gibson Fireworks on Sunday evening. There is racing of cars, pickups and vans, displays from selected local businesses, Mega Trucks displayed, racing and performing freestyle, maybe a Monster Truck to ride, Freestyle Motocross, Live popular bands in the barn, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening, a Hunt Of A Lifetime area with raffles, games and more. The Cornfield 500 on Facebook has lots of current info and pictures . Your comments are always welcome!

Even though there were some personal and financial setbacks, in the past years, we, Blair & Sabrena Miller, who met in 2003, in the woods, hunting deer, will continue to bring the community and our out of town, or even out of state visitors, a top quality, have a great time, entertainment for all, Professional Redneck Show! If you didnít already know, we were married on July 5, 2008, in front of 800 guest, and were filmed for Season 2, episode 5, of My Big Redneck Wedding on CMT. You can see pictures from that awesome, fun day by just googling it. We continue to talk with certain TV Networks on future shows in the makings. We have a few sports shows, outdoor shows, and a Country Music Video with National artist Michelle Murray. The Guinness World Record monster truck jump of 208í, by youngest owner/operator, Joey Sylvester and his Bad Habit, in the Millerís front yard, is something to be proud of, but the second one by the same guy on our property in 2013, was amazing, and as always, just google it.
Our ultimate goal on the farm, is to improve the quality of this show, and future shows, by improving the property, and looking for funding from Corporations and Sponsors, that can help us buy equipment, and develop the land into a race park and event center, with a future Hotel/Restaurant/Banquet Hall, designed in the Old West design. Our plans are to have more events, and keep bringing in tourist from other states, and keep them entertained for a few days, so they can venture into the surrounding areas. This will help community businesses, and we plan to hire local contractors, and buy local goods in the development progress. We are ultimately dedicated to helping Hunt of a Lifetime, and will continue to donate, and find ways to raise funding for them, and plan to have them involved at every event in the future. We also will continue to help several local Volunteer Fire Departments that continue to help us.
